Klädvisning och rolig kväll på Länsmuséet

Det blev en rolig kväll igår på Länsmuséet. Örebro Läns Hemslöjdsförening hade bjudit in mig för att berätta om mitt klädskapande och återbruksidéer. Klädvisningen till countrymusik, featuring Alice Hartman och Barbro Torpfelt intresserade många att vilja titta närmare på plaggen. Stor, glad, intresserad publik. Så rolig energi under kvällen. Tack alla!

It became an amusing evening at the Örebro Läns Museum. The local Craft Counsil had invited me to tell about my clothes-making and Re-making. The fashionshow to countrymusic, featuring Alice Hartman and Barbro Torpfelt made many interested to look closer at the woolen jackets afterwards. A  crowded, glad, interested audience. Good energy during the evening. Thank you all!

6-12 okt på Galleri Riddaren Stockholm

Visar handgjorda, varma jackor en vecka i Stockholm. Naturnära vadmal med autentiska handbroderier, Unika Re-Makes i läder och blommiga pälsvästar. Desssutom vippande pälsbroscher, krusiga pannband, heta handledsvärmare, eldröda sadelskydd, pixlade dataväskor ... mm

I will exhibit handmade warm jackets a week in Stockholm at the Gallery Riddaren. Wool jackets close to natures own, unique Re-Makes in leather and flowery furwaistcoats. Also broches with tilting feathers, curly fur headbands, hot wrist warmers, fiery red saddle covers, pixeled computorbags ...

Lek med Barbie

För ett tag sen sydde jag vinterkängor till mitt barnbarns Barbiedocka. Det var kul att fantisera runt och göra stadiga kängor som Barbie inte behövde stå på tå i. Hon fick också en rejäl fårskinnspäls.
Ställer ut broderi & objekt på Skoindustrimuséet i Kumla 13 okt-16 nov och eftersom platsen handlar om skor så var det kul att sy några Barbiekängor till den utställningen också.

A while ago I sewed winterboots for my granddaughters Barbiedoll. It was fun to fantasize around the subject and make real heavy boots for Barbie in order to allow her not to stand on her toes. She also got a warm sheepskincoat.
I will exhibit embroidery & objects at the Muséum of Shoeindustry in Kumla 13 oct-16 nov and since the environment has to do with shoes it amused me to make some pairs of Barbieboots to the exhibition as well.

Tre jubileumsgåvor från Kaipa

Örebro Konsthall har just avslutat utställningen "Jubilarens Val". Konsthantverkare och konstnärer, verksamma inom länet, inbjuds att lämna in tre verk eller objekt. Jubilarerna, medarbetare som arbetat inom Örebro Kommun i 25 år, får första tjing att välja en jubileumsgåva bland de utställda föremålen.
I år kunde jubilarerna välja ovanstående tre västar av återbrukad kvalitetspäls och alla tre hittade sin ägare. Roligt!  Jag hoppas de ska trivas och känna sig vackra i sina plagg.

The exhibition "Jubilarens Val" at Örebro Konsthall has ended. Art&Craft workers and artists within Örebro county are invited to leave three objects or paintings to the exhibition. The jubilars, which have been working for twentyfive years in the municipality has the option to choose a gift among the exhibited items before other audience.
This year the jubilars could make a choice of the three waistcoats above, made of re-cycled qualityfur and all three found their new owner. I am pleased and hope they will feel fine and beautiful while wearing them.
